Yes, it’s possible to build a sauna even in a city apartment!

Choose a suitable location

To build a sauna in an apartment, you can select spaces such as a bathroom, a small corridor, or even a closet. Bathrooms with a shower cabin instead of a bathtub are often preferred. An infrared sauna can even be built on a balcony.

Size matters

A minimum of 2 m³ of space is needed per person in the sauna, and the ceiling height should be at least 2 meters from the floor. The power requirement is calculated using the logic 1 m³ = 1 kW. Special conditions apply to power requirements for homes with gas and electric stoves.

Air temperature is 80-120°C (about 60°C at floor level). Relative humidity is about 10-15%. Steam in the sauna heats the body well, stabilizes blood pressure, relaxes the body, and helps prevent colds.
